Chorus Street Art - Rodrigo Rozas Tui

This piece is part of the series of street art that make up the Chorus Cabinet Art Programme.

Artist Rodrigo Rozas has completed this artwork which features the Tui Bird and Kowhai design with bush background.

The Green bush signifies the lush bush that the early settlers striped Christchurch of losing the iconic native NZ bird the Tui. Christchurch is trying to bring the Tui back by planning a bush corridor to encourage to bird to inhabit the land once more. The Kowhai is a favourite tree of the Tui and is prominent throughout Christchurch.
