Take a drive up the Port Hills to get the best view of the Northern Coastline, down to the Lyttelton Harbour and over the Canterbury plains. The area is rich in history with the first European migrant making the trek from the port of Lyttelton over the Bridle Path down to the Canterbury Plains before settling in Christchurch. To mark the historic significance there is a Pioneer Womens Memorial structure at the top of the Bridle Path.
