This large open space (128ha) in Christchurch's south-west is used by walkers, cyclists, joggers, dog owners and dogs and a variety of activities such as regular agricultural themed events. 

This includes events such as equestrian activities, rugby league and The New Zealand Agricultural Show which takes place annually in November.
