This Georgian Revival style building was constructed in 1928 for Digby’s Commercial College – a secretarial school. The architect Cecil Wood was a leading NZ interwar architect who favoured the Georgian Revival style for commercial and residential buildings from the late 1920s. This building performed well in the earthquakes as it had been structurally strengthened.
