St Mary’s on the Halswell, built in 1863, was the first Church to be built on the plains south of the city of Christchurch.

They hold two services each Sunday.  The 8am service is a traditional service of Holy Communion. The 10.30am is a blend of family friendly contemporary worship and traditional communion.
