Atlas Sculpture

'Atlas', the Timaru bluestone (basalt) sculpture is 2.5 metres high, weighs seven tons, and took seven months to create. Debbie Templeton-Page is based in Timaru, has exhibited internationally, and has numerous public sculptures in Wellington, Timaru, Ashburton and Tekapo. She has chosen this site in partnership with the Life in Vacant Spaces Trust, as her contribution to the cultural revival of Central Christchurch.
