Set in the idyllic and expansive grounds of Deans Bush, Riccarton House was established in 1843 as a family home for Canterbury's founding family, the Deans family.

Local is the name of the restaurant that follows on this family feeling with a casual dining atmosphere and a produce-driven menu, much of it sourced from their five planter boxes and the regular Saturday Christchurch Farmers' Market.  Private venue hire avaliable.
