This new  40 metre long mural brings the evolution of spray can creativity to life, from 1970s New York subway graffiti to 2020 Kiwi street art - pop culture icons of decades past.

Pop culture references include Star Wars, Rick and Morty, SpongeBob Squarepants, Sonic the Hedgehog mixed with Bart Simpson, the Avengers, Jurassic Park, Adventure Time, Orko from He-Man, and Lord of the Rings, plus 20th century technology such Nintendo, the CD and videotapes.

Commissioned by Ōtākaro, the mural was created by street art group Oi You! with street art collective DTR Crew operating the spay cans.
