Christchurch City Council's Enliven Spaces team bring the city this new River of Words artwork.  Artist John Maillard, a local artist, was inspired by the ever-changing city.

He reflects on the experience in post-quake Christchurch as "moving and flowing through a river, where people and places are constantly changing and adapting through the reinvention of the city". The words are said to bon peope together through shared experience. They are a reflection of the humanity and resilience of people.
